MN Writes For Good
Every November, thousands of writers across the world challenge themselves to write a novel, or work on their project for a certain amount of time each day, or reach fifty thousand words, all in 30 days! But this year, thousands of Minnesotans are facing food shortages, and we want to help!Sponsor a local writer in our November writing challenge, and help us raise funds for Second Harvest Heartland. Your tax-deductible donations go directly to putting fresh, healthy food where it's most needed, and encourage local writers in their creative pursuits. As a thank you, several local authors have rewards waiting for you!
Note: Second Harvest Heartland is not affiliated with the writers participating in this challenge, nor were they involved in the organization or planning beyond hosting the virtual fundraising portal.
Reward Levels
We've matched the below prize windows to the Second Harvest Heartland donation levels. The rewards stack, so if you donate $100, you get the $50, $25, and $10 rewards as well. All prizes will be sent out in December once the fundraiser and our writing challenges are complete!
$10 - A free ebook of your choice from a contributing author.
$25 - Your name (or an honorarium) in the acknowledgements in an upcoming release by a local author.
$50 - All of the ebooks from the contributing authors.
$100 - A signed paperback copy of a book from a contributing author.
$250 - A 2026 release by a local author will be dedicated to you.
$500 - Cozy DuBois will write a custom short story about whatever you'd like. Any genre, most subject matters, up to 5k words.
